Leeds Teaching Hospitals trust have been working with Yorkshire-based supermarket chain Morrisons, to set up an innovative and convenient way for staff at Leeds Teaching Hospitals to get essential groceries during these challenging times. The team at Morrisons have been amazing, as have the LTHT facilities team, and as a result LTHT can order groceries on-line and get them delivered to either St James’s or LGI.
This is a dedicated service for staff working at Leeds Teaching Hospitals so you can be confident when you have finished at work you will have some of the essentials to take home. The Morrisons food boxes are £30 and include a selection of everyday items based on Morrisons current availability, including food and essential household goods. You can choose between a vegetarian or a meat eaters food box to suit your lifestyle.
Morrisons have made some changes to the delivery of their food box deliveries, taking into account the feedback they have received. They will now be on site Monday and Thursday afternoons 3pm until 6pm. Call 0345 611 6111 and select option 3 to arrange delivery.
- St James’s – Thackray Medical Museum car park
- LGI – LTHT shuttle bus stop opposite the multi-storey car park
Morrisons are looking to see whether they could expand the service to our other sites – once we know we will let you know.
There are two types of box available, a veggie option and a meat option. Both boxes contain a selection of items based on current availability but Morrisons is unable to specify the exact content of boxes.
We really hope that this arrangement will make things a little easier for you during these difficult times and that you will join us in thanking Morrisons for supporting us in this way.
Meanwhile Morrisons has announced a 10 per cent discount on shopping for all NHS staff for 12 weeks to support the UK’s frontline health care workers through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Morrisons said the discount will last until July 12, when it will be reviewed
